Channeling Vysotsky: A Poet's Journey from Limbo into the Light is a unique collection of channeled dual language spirit messages and a cultural study. All spirit messages appear in their original Russian and in English translation.

The spirit communicator Vladimir Vysotsky (1938-1980), Russian counterpart of John Lennon and Elvis Presley in the West, a performing poet and actor, spoke that he was murdered and did not die of a heart attack as the official version stated. Looking back on his life on earth, he spoke about the “firewall” of Party-created restrictions, the fanatical love of his fans, his mistakes and regrets, alcoholism, womanizing and difficult relationships in Taganka theater. (In 1964, at age 26, Vysotsky became a member of the Moscow legendary Theatre of Drama and Comedy on Taganka which experimented with innovative trends of theatrical staging. In this theater Vysotsky rose from the performer of small parts to the leading actor.) From beyond the grave Vysotsky dictated splendid poetical improvisations (to the author who has never written a single line of poetry in her  70-year-long life). Vysotsky also gave an astounding analysis of his theatrical roles – Hamlet, Galileo, Lapakhin (“The Cherry Orchard” by A. Chekhov) and Svidrigailov (a theatrical version of “Crime and Punishment” by F. Dostoyevsky). As an insider Vysotsky revealed never-before-discussed aspects of Russian-Soviet cultural life.

 Written only in English are the chapters about the author's search of the truth about the spirit communicator’s identity during her meetings with English-speaking professional mediums. Also written only in English are chapters that analyze Russian and Soviets’ cultural problems that birthed Vysotsky's phenomenon and his enormous popularity. 

 Additionally, 50 pages of notes are added explaining facts and expressions that are familiar to Russians and not so familiar to English-speaking readers. These notes were the results of questions posed by the English-speaking editors who worked on this book. The author turned her answers into the notes.
